Fruitpot

Here you find out what you need to create a coloured and citrus-scented fruitpot:

1 high and large glass pot (37x18x18 cm)
1 tile of synthetic sponge (55x32x23cm)
2 or 3 sticks of willow
80 dried wheels of citrus fruits
40-50 carved longitudinally and dried mandarins, oranges, unripe lemons,
1 knife
Shears
Medium-thick, already cut iron wires

What to do:

1. With a knife shape up the sponge, letting it fit in with the pot, and save about 2,5 cm between the sponge and the pot’s surface. Then leave 2,5 cm from the edge of the top.

01

2. Put the sponge into the pot and fill in the empty sides with the wheels of citrus fruits.

02

3. Take the shears and shorten the willow sticks: they should be of 75 cm.

03

4. Then, set the sticks, for a third of they length, up to the centre of the sponge.

04

5. Thread some iron wire throughout the cut of mandarins, oranges and lemons. Hold the ends and twist them.

05

6. Arrange the fruits around the willow sticks, putting the iron wires into the sponge.

06

7. Keep setting the citrus fruits up to wind completely the sponge. Try to combine the fruits between each other in order to achieve a pleasant composition both for proportions and colours.

07

8. Put the last fruits near the sponge boundaries, so the empty space between the sponge and the pot edge will be filled up.
