Tuna with lemon, lime and mango sauce

Who ever said you can only have fruit after or in-between meals? We also enjoy it as part of a main course, like this exotic, tasty and highly fragrant entree.

Amaze your guests with these irresistible tuna steaks, paired with a fruity white wine or cold bubbly.

  • 2 tuna steaks
  • 1 mango
  • ½ yellow bell pepper
  • 3 tablespoons LIMMI lime juice
  • 5 tablespoons LIMMI lemon juice
  • Garlic
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar, 1 pinch
  • Soy sauce
  • Minced coriander (about 1 teaspoon)
  • Extra-virgin olive oil

Preparation

Let the tuna steaks marinate in LIMMI lemon juice (about 4/5 tablespoons) for approximately 15 minutes.

Julienne the pepper, pour a little extra-virgin olive oil in a non-stick pan and cook it for about 15/20 minutes. If it starts to stick, add a little bit of water. While the peppers cool down, cut and puree the mango in a blender.

Add the peppers, lime juice, a pinch of salt and pepper, a teaspoon of minced coriander,  and blend thoroughly.
Turn on a burner, pour a little bit of oil in a frying pan, and sear the tuna on both sides.

Once the tuna is ready, “dress” it with your fragrant mango and citrus sauce and…Enjoy!
