Baked fruit salad

Whoever said that fruit is only edible if perfectly ripe? Have you ever tried baking a fruit salad? Yes, that’s right, baking it in the oven.
This recipe is perfect for fruit that “has to be eaten right away”, and for whenever you wish to bring a healthy and unusual dessert to your table.

You will need:

  • whichever fruit you prefer (enough to more or less fill a baking tin)
  • 9 tablespoons Limmi lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 dab of butter

Pre-heat the oven to 180° C, wash, peel and cut the fruit into rather big cubes, (or leave the fruit whole for a more dazzling effect).
Butter the baking tin, pour the fruit into it, douse with LIMMI lemon juice, and add the butter. Mix well and bake it for 15 minutes.
[optional flavour-booster]
After a quarter of an hour, open the oven, add a splash of rum, close the oven door and bake for an additional 3 minutes.
Next, place the fruit into dessert cups, and serve with lemon ice cream accompanied by a small glass of Sicilian Passito wine.
