Searching for a mid-afternoon snack that won’t weigh you down? Looking to refuel before or after exercising at the gym, or engaging in outdoor sports?
If so, get your mixer and taste buds ready for this seasonal smoothie, which combines all the digestion-boosting action of fennel and celery with the vitamin C of lemon juice, and the anti-oxidizing properties of pears (we had spoken about pear varieties in this article)
- 1 single-serving container of low-fat yogurt (approx. 125 ml)
- 2 ripe pears
- 1 fennel bulb (washed and sliced)
- 6 tablespoons LIMMI lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon fennel seeds
- 1 celery stalk, cut into small cubes
Place all ingredients in the mixer, and process until smooth.
For a more exotic taste, add some fresh grated ginger.
If you’d like it sweeter, add 1 tablespoon of honey or use LIMMI Sweet instead of original LIMMI lemon juice.
