1. Perfectly whip egg whites

2. Enhance the colour of veggies

Looking to preserve your boiled veggies bright red colour? Just add a splash of lemon juice to the cooking water to make beets and cabbage maintain their vivid colour.

3. D.I.Y. sour cream

Here’s an easy substitute for sour cream (also known as crème fraîche): combine unsweetened heavy cream (100 ml) with plain yogurt (100 gr), 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, and a pinch of salt. Mix thoroughly and let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.

4. Super creamy scaloppine

For ultra-creamy scaloppine, add 1 tablespoon of corn starch and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice to your cooking liquid. The sauce will be so creamy and delicious you’ll need bread to wipe it off your plate!

5. Onion? No more tears!

6. Make an ultra-white glaze

Make an ultra-white glaze to enhance and decorate your sweet treats by combining 150 g confectioner’s sugar with 6 tablespoons of lemon juice in a pan, and stirring it over low heat till the sugar melts. The glaze will be smooth and thick.

Are you bored with the usual salad? How about a quick, light dressing? Mix together 2 tablespoons of lemon juice with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, thyme, ginger, and poppy seeds. It’s so tasty!
