Lemon Juice-based Kitchen Remedies

Sure, you can rely on lemon juice to clean and disinfect.

But did you know that it can also help preserve food and make your life easier in the kitchen in-between cooking sessions?

Lettuce

If your head of lettuce started to wilt, don’t worry. Reach for LIMMI Lemon Juice, immerse the leaves in the citrusy solution for a few minutes, and…enjoy!

Cauliflower

Do you want to serve snow-white cauliflower? Dress it with a bit of lemon juice before cooking it.

Remove the smell of garlic, onion or fish from your hands

Put 4 drops of LIMMI lemon juice on your hands, rub them together, and then rinse them  thoroughly under lukewarm water.

Make sponge cake rise higher

To help sponge cake rise higher, add 3 drops of lemon juice to the wet ingredients (before adding the flour).

Cooking rice

To keep rice from sticking to the pan, add a few drops of lemon juice to the cooking water.

Artichokes

To keep artichokes from getting brown, after cleaning them place them in a bowl of water mixed with lemon juice.

Homemade jam

Adding a few drops of lemon juice to your jam mixture will preserve the natural color of the fruit and result in thicker jam.

Hard boiled eggs

For perfect hard boiled eggs, rub 3 tablespoons of LIMMI lemon juice over the shells of the eggs before cooking them. Lemon will help the shells stay hard while they cook, making them easier to remove thereafter.
