Lemon Sorbet

The choice dessert for those who care about their figure but cannot forego a sweet treat at the end of their meal. It’s the best “digestif” to have after a lavish meal, or to conclude a classic fish-based menu.
This refreshing treat cleanses the taste buds, and is an exquisite digestive aid.

  • 5 dl water
  • 200 g sugar
  • 18 tablespoons LIMMI lemon juice
  • 1 egg white

Prepare your lemon sorbet in 3 steps:

1) bring to a boil 5 dl of water mixed with 200 g of sugar. Once the sugar dissolves, turn off the burner and let it cool

2) stir 18 tablespoons of LIMMI lemon juice into the syrup, then filter it and fold in 1 egg white, whipped to stiff peaks beforehand

3) Stir thoroughly, pour the mix into a small metal pan, and place it in the freezer. After 1 hour, put the sorbet with a blender, mix till smooth and put it back in the freezer for 1 hour. Serve in cold dessert cups, garnished with mint leaves.

You’re in a hurry... in a great rush and guests already started to arrive?

If you have a few bottles of LIMMI Lemon Sorbet  in your cupboard, just put them in the freezer for at least 2-3 hours before serving, calmly prepare the rest of your meal, and enjoy the company of your guests.
At the right time, take the sorbet out of the freezer and let it stand at room temperature for a few minutes.

Once it reaches your desired consistency, place it in flute glasses (if thawed and creamy enough to drink) or in ice cream cups (if dense and still frozen).

Add any liquor, fruit or mint you wish, and serve.
