Lemon Syrup

Let’s learn how to prepare lemon syrup with Limmi lemon juice.

Lemon syrup is very quick to prepare, and can be used in a multitude of ways, to make slushies and popsicles, to baste cakes, diluted with water for a thirst quenching drink, to boost the aroma of your cocktails, or as a digestif mixed with water and a pinch of baking soda.

To prepare lemon syrup you will need:

  • One 200 ml bottle of Limmi lemon juice (approx. 6 lemons)
  • 200 g of sugar

Pour the entire 200ml bottle of Limmi lemon juice into a small pan. Add the sugar and cook on medium heat for about 10 minutes, stirring thoroughly.
Pour the syrup into a bottle and store it in the refrigerator.

As an alternative, you can always use Limmi Sweet, the ready to use lemon juice sweetened with fructose. Mixed with water, it makes a perfect thirst-quenching drink to enjoy after sport activites.
